In August of 2021, Madelia Health signed a five-year lease with the City of Truman. It is staffed by a full-time nurse practitioner that sees patients of all ages, from children to older adults including residents of Heartland Senior Living. Care is provided for acute illnesses and minor injuries, chronic disease and medication management, immunizations, well-childcare, sports physicals, adult physicals, and preventive health care. Some laboratory tests and services are offered in Truman, and some pharmacy services may also be available.

The clinic building houses a dentist office operated by Larson & Olsen Dental (507)776-7901 and is attached to Heartland Senior Living.

Madelia Health has a full service, 25-bed acute care hospital just 16 miles north of Truman in Madelia. Services available at the hospital in Madelia include: Emergency Room/Urgent Care, Swing Bed, Laboratory, Radiology (Mobile MRI, ultrasound, CT, 3D Mammograms), Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Home Care, and Surgical Care.

Truman is also home to a 53-bed nursing home. For more information, visit the Heartland Senior Living and Manor apartments at their website at www.heartlandseniorlivingmn.org. The Manor apartments offer assisted living and are connected by walkway to the Senior Living site, with nurse staff on call 24-hours a day.
